Shop Closures

Although primarily we are a shop fitting company we have over the last two years completed a number of store closures.
We have completed a number of store/display, maintenance works, redecoration of stores and been heavily involved with all forms of installation of I.T mainly when we refit or on closure of stores.
We have worked on various projects for many different companies. Our strong portfolio of works sees us manage closures and refits on a variety of scales.
Our team comes with a strong refit/closure background and for myself and my two other directors many years of experience not only within our company but companies we have worked for in our career.
I’d like to give you some examples of who we have worked with along with a few options that we can offer that have worked for different companies.
Our most recent project has been on an 80 store closure project for New Look across the UK and Ireland as part of their CVA program. We were involved in all aspects of the store closure from start to finish. Our scope of works included:
The removal of all tills and I.T. such as HHT’s, Ped’s, scanners, ipad’s, Kronos clocking etc. Each till would be individually dismantled, photographed and packaged separately. The same was applied to all I.T equipment.
All shop signs are removed and disposed of.
All equipment is removed from the shop floor and back of house storage areas. If the racking is fixed then it stays, if loose then its removed. We can if required remove all stock room racking.
All offices and staff rooms are cleared. This includes sofas, lockers, fridges etc.
All toilets are cleared.
All notice boards, wipe boards are removed form the walls.
All literature relating to New Look or any vinyl’s in the shop are also removed.
Safe codes, security codes, alarm codes, water, electric and gas meter reading are taken and logged on the handover sheet.
All rooms are photographed when they are emptying. All meter reading are also photographed. All pictures are then sent via email to the relevant person to show the store is all cleared.
Handover. We can arrange to meet the Centre Manager, Shop Owner or Estate agent on the designated Handover date with all store keys and our Handover sheet which has all security codes and meter readings on them. This is signed by whoever collects the keys, then a picture is forwarded onto the relevant person.
Transport to clear away the equipment and waste can be supplied by us and disposed of by us. However if you prefer to have equipment returned to you HQ or warehouse then we can arrange this. We can also relocate some equipment from the store closure to other shops.
We have had experience in dealing with shopping centres, raising the required RAMS for Centre Management if needed and working within their out of hours policy when removing signs or removing equipment through the shopping centre.
Away from the store closures, we have also worked with New Look on their Shop Maintainence, Shop fit/decorating programmes. These can vary from running a 100 store mannequin fixing programme to building stud walls, re positioning the shop equipment, re fitting shop racking and general decorating projects. These are carried either during store hours or at night when the stores are closed.
Additionally we have also completed works either through CVA programmes or Administration we have closed stores for Jessops, Allied Carpets, Brantano, Jones The Bootmaker, Floors to Go and Walmsley’s.
Through all of these projects, each job specification was slightly different but we have gained great experience in dealing with these closures and many difficult or tracking issues that arise during these projects. It is very important to us that we are efficient and professional in our approach to ensure the name and principals of the companies we work for are upheld.
Being centrally located in the U.K based in Leicester with easy access to transport routes we are able to complete works in any location and this can favour overall costings to the work we complete.
